The English Choir Berlin is currently on the look-out for singers, in particular Tenors and Basses.

If you have excellent sight-reading skills, if you have had not-too-distant choir experience, if you are able to commit to our schedule of rehearsals and performances (see Upcoming Performances), and if you plan to live in Berlin for an extended period of time, please email Max Carsley, our Musical Director, for an audition appointment.

On average over the year, singers can expect to perform twice monthly (mainly Choral Evensong but also masses and concerts) in addition to the weekly rehearsals.

Our rehearsals are kept short and business-like because singers are expected to come prepared.

The Choir is an eingetragener Verein (e.V., i.e., a Non-profit Association) with its own Vorstand (Board of Management) elected by and from the members. Choir members also contribute financially through yearly membership dues.

Once admitted, you will find at The English Choir Berlin a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere amongst very international colleagues. Many members stay after rehearsals for a glass of wine together.

Regular rehearsals take place on Thursdays, 18:30-20:45 at the Berliner Dom.
Choral Evensong is sung at least monthly in the Dom on a Saturday at 18:00. Again, check Upcoming Performances.
